Organize with Our Time WinnipegAs young people and millennials, we are the ones who are going to live through wildfires, crop failure, and extreme weather. We are also the largest voting bloc in this election. Over the next few months, we will build an enormous voting alliance of young people and millennials in Winnipeg. Then, we’ll organize thousands of our friends to vote for Green New Deal champions and to vote against politicians in the pocket of Big Oil.684 of 800 SignaturesCreated by Atiya Jaffar
Demand a federal leaders’ debate on climate change & a Green New DealLast year, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change laid out in no uncertain terms that to limit warming to 1.5ºC we need a swift and far reaching climate response. People in Canada deserve to have all Federal party leaders debate on Canada’s response to the climate emergency and the upswell of people from coast to coast calling for a Green New Deal that creates millions of good jobs, respects the rights of Indigenous Peoples, and that enshrines dignity, justice, and equity for all. We are in a climate emergency. It’s time for Federal leaders debate on climate, and the CBC has the responsibility and power to make it happen.51 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Atiya Jaffar
