Our Time to Walk-Out for the Climate- MacEwan University

On September 27th, MacEwan University students will walk out of class to join young climate strikers in the streets and demand an end to the age of fossil fuels. We’ll join hundreds of thousands across the country in calling for a just transition that enshrines dignity and justice for all, supports the rights, title and sovereignty of Indigenous peoples, and ushers in a 100% renewable energy economy that leaves no one behind.

It’s going to be a powerful moment, with millions of people around the world set to walk out of their classes, workplaces, and homes. Here in Canada, we’re mobilizing at a critical time. With the federal election just around the corner, let’s show every single political hopeful that our generation demands a climate plan in line with the scale of the crisis we face.
